The Consultant in this role will be responsible for leading and managing initiatives, through both in-person and electronic delivery mediums, including (but not limited to) video, audio, animation, photographic and illustrative art, interactive media and web. In this role, the Consultant will partner with stakeholders to understand program desired outcomes, and identify target audiences, in order to provide guidance and best practices to operationalize the delivery and implementation of client-oriented solutions.

Trainer / Instructional Designer

The Consultant in this role will be responsible for leading and managing initiatives, through both in-person and electronic delivery mediums, including (but not limited to) video, audio, animation, photographic and illustrative art, interactive media and web. In this role, the Consultant will partner with stakeholders to understand program desired outcomes, and identify target audiences, in order to provide guidance and best practices to operationalize the delivery and implementation of client-oriented solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the conception, design, development and deployment of training and product awareness materials, including liaising with subject matter experts to identify objectives, audience and content
  • Lead the development of training collateral (examples include, but are not limited to, instructor-led training, virtual classroom materials and sessions, web-based training and videos) as well as enabling client delivery of these items
  • Aid in the development of educational content about services and products in a variety of multimedia formats

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of training development and instructional design experience; preferably within a professional services environment
  • Proficient in needs and audience analysis
  • Experience in designing and developing business change management training (i.e. changing behaviors around a new methodology)
  • Experience with learning and video technologies is an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work effectively (adaptable and flexible) in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented corporate environment
  • Effective communication skills when working with a variety of staff levels and roles
  • Ability to create innovative, highly interactive instructor-led training with exercises.
  • Must work autonomously.
  • Requires ability to function as a team member as well as skill in making independent decisions and taking ownership of projects from start to completion.
  • Flexible approach to work and ability to operate under tight deadlines desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; certificate or degree in instructional design and technology-based training or other learning disciplines preferred
